I began painting in 2015 again after a gap of 42 years!  For the past few years I have been drawing, painting, and learning something new with each stroke I paint. I have reflected deeply about what motivates me to create the paintings that I have done: it is so simple and yet so complex. I see something in a person, a place, or thing and feel compelled to capture the inner beauty I can feel but cannot describe verbally.

 

Many people who have seen my paintings in exhibitions tell me that they express love and spirituality. They love the details in each painting. These encouraging words have led me to continue to focus on details related to anything I paint. They have also helped me to start working on painting portraits. I feel so happy when I see faces, shapes, and real people beginning to emerge as I paint every single detail.

 

In this stress-filled world, I want my work to spread calmness, joy, and hope for a better tomorrow. And this is what really motivates me to paint as I do.

 

I hope you will enjoy my artwork as much as I have enjoyed creating it.  It is an exciting moment in my life to not view painting as a hobby but view it instead as a full-time profession. I am excited that my efforts at painting people, places, and things that inspire me are being appreciated. I am also grateful that, with your help, I will continue to grow as an artist-both personally and professionally.
